Technical Sales Engineer will be expected to travel most of the time to meet customers for product demonstrations and sales. Also responsible for attaining the sales targets and objectives within the sales territory. The portfolios include products specific to destructive and non-destructive control from different fields of industry such as aerospace, petrochemical, automotive, civil and military, construction, shipyards, etc., and in general in all areas where high-quality controls are needed to be performed. Below we list just a small portion of the specific non-destructive testing products: magnetic powders, equipment and consumables for metallography, thermal chambers, hardness tests, industrial radiographic films, ultrasound devices, resectoscopes, endoscopes, video scopes, microscopes for different fields of activity, classic and digital measuring and control devices.
Responsibilities
- Prospecting and cold calling to identify new business opportunities.
- Visit customers to demonstrate products and discuss sales opportunities daily in the assigned territory.
- We are working closely with others to coordinate the overall selling efforts of the company.
- Analyze the technical needs of the projects and offer the best solution to the customer
- Maintaining a strong relationship with the R&D department of the manufacturers to develop personalized projects for customers.
- Offering continuous technical support via phone or on the field for key users and future customers
- Completing, working, reviewing, and improving a Sales Plan that includes an action plan for increasing sales to active customers and prospective customers, scheduling full coverage of the territory, maintaining a high level of in-field time, and continually improving product presentation skills and product knowledge.
- Responding to all customer phone calls and emails on time.
- Meeting the sales target for their territory on all products.
- Generating leads for the other sales representatives.
- Configuration and negotiation of agreements and offers about the solutions needed by the client
- Using the CRM package for completing daily tasks and management reporting.
- Timely completion of all periodic sales reports, quotations, calendar events, and opportunity management.
- Continuous self-improvement via learning technical skills and know-how regarding all the products.
Profile
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (mechanical/materials engineering etc.).
- Several years of proven successful experience in equipment sales in the industrial area.
- The ability to effectively communicate and to give effective presentations to customers is required.
- The position requires that a person be able to understand technical equipment and concepts so they will be able to understand the application of the product.
- They must also be able to learn technical software applications that are used with the products.
- Very strong technical experience related to industrial quality processes and technologies, material engineering, production flows, and procedures
- Availability to travel in the designated area, driving license B
- A proficient level of technical English is a must
- Very open-minded and high problem-solving ability
