Targets and Responsibilities of the Function
- Ensuring efficient, transparent and market-compliant policies, systematics & processes
- Directive authority for the design and uniform application of systematics & processes, such as:
- Job grading, pay bands and management level
- Short- & Long-Term Incentive plans#
- Annual compensation review process
Core Tasks
- Control tasks resulting from the directive authority:
- Observation of current trends in the area of Compensation & Benefits
- Conception and implementation of new as well as further development of existing systematics & processes (also within the scope of projects and in cooperation with external consultants)
- Mentoring: Support of the operational HR departments worldwide in the implementation and application of globally standardized policies, systems and processes (taking local requirements into account)
- Control and monitoring of compliance with agreed systematics & processes
- Operational tasks:
- Central administration of the grading matrix and evaluation of jobs (job grading)
- Extraction of salary benchmarks as well as development and maintenance of pay bands
- Preparation of the annual compensation review process incl. administration of the compensation management software (Haufe Talent Management)
- Maintenance and updating of the management level (systematics & data consolidation)
- Carrying out Group-wide queries concerning compensation
- Preparation of reports and handling of ad-hoc inquiries on all above mentioned topics
