Targets and Responsibilities of the Function

  • Ensuring efficient, transparent and market-compliant policies, systematics & processes
  • Directive authority for the design and uniform application of systematics & processes, such as:
    • Job grading, pay bands and management level
    • Short- & Long-Term Incentive plans#
    • Annual compensation review process

 Core Tasks

  • Control tasks resulting from the directive authority:
    • Observation of current trends in the area of Compensation & Benefits
    • Conception and implementation of new as well as further development of existing systematics & processes (also within the scope of projects and in cooperation with external consultants)
    • Mentoring: Support of the operational HR departments worldwide in the implementation and application of globally standardized policies, systems and processes (taking local requirements into account)
    • Control and monitoring of compliance with agreed systematics & processes
  • Operational tasks:
    • Central administration of the grading matrix and evaluation of jobs (job grading)
    • Extraction of salary benchmarks as well as development and maintenance of pay bands
    • Preparation of the annual compensation review process incl. administration of the compensation management software (Haufe Talent Management)
    • Maintenance and updating of the management level (systematics & data consolidation)
    • Carrying out Group-wide queries concerning compensation
    • Preparation of reports and handling of ad-hoc inquiries on all above mentioned topics
